Frequently Asked Questions
what type of work do you?
We are a taxidermy studio that specializes in museum-quality taxidermy of birds and mammals. We create commissions for museums, nature centers, and individuals. We also work on restoration projects. Our services are well-rounded and include all aspects of taxidermy - including traditional mounts, restoration, consultations, and collaborative pieces.
We do not work on pets of any kind.
can you sell my taxidermy?
If you are a taxidermist and are interested in selling pieces through our website, please send us an email with your portfolio. We do not accept any oddities or rogue taxidermy pieces. Bone articulations, bug pinning, traditional taxidermy, etc. are accepted.
can I visit the studio?
As we are a new and developing company, we are not offering any studio visits while we are setting up and growing the business.
do you offer classes?
We are not offering any classes at this time. Please check out our Patreon page where we post instructional videos.
If you are interested in public classes, we recommend the incredible Prey Taxidermy studio with Allis Markham. They offer a variety of classes taught by exceptional artists.
Can I intern With You?
While we are starting out, we are not offering any type of mentorship. We hope to launch a program as soon as possible. For now, you can sign up for our Patreon to grow your skills and learn as much as you can at a low cost.
do you accept commissions?
If you are an individual or educational institution, please send us an email with your request and proper tags or paperwork.

I found a dead bird. What next?
Please put it back (even better - don’t touch it and walk away!). You cannot possess any part of a protected dead bird (including feathers, nests, eggs, bones, etc.) unless you have the proper permits. You also cannot pick up any roadkill (mammals, bones, birds, etc.) in California without collecting permits, so please check your state laws for information on roadkill.
For more information on why birds are so heavily protected, please see the Fish and Wildlife website on the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. It is a VERY important conservation law that protects our birds. It is also a federal law, so don’t mess around with breaking the law PLEASE. If you want to make sure you are buying legal specimens, download this spreadsheet of all protected birds in the US.
