From the Field Notes series, this shadow box showcases a Budgerigar (Melopsittacus undulatus), Blue green weevil pair (Eupholus chevrolati), & Stag beetle (Cyclommatus metallifer). This particular piece looks at the wings and tail of a budgie species in comparison to the similar color profiles found across the tree of life, including weevil beetles that have their own incredible variation within the species.

Every arrangement and display from the Field Notes series was sourced, preserved, and arranged with thought and care to capture the essence of exploration and curiosity about the modern world.
